Ronnie Cecil Lane

Ronnie Cecil Lane, 73, of Kingsport, passed away on Friday evening, September, 27, 2025, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born to the late Allen and Hazel (Smith) Lane in Kingsport, on January 5, 1952. Ronnie loved farming and coon hunting. In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his grandson, Hunter Lane; sisters, Marleen Bingham, and Letha Lane; brothers, Gerald, Dave, and Mike Lane; and his his girlfriend of over thirty years, Lorine Cox.

He is survived by his sons, Tim Lane (Jessica), and Anthony Lane; grandchildren, Amber Lane, Kimberly Lane, Kayla Oaks, and Hayley Lane; brothers, Gary Lane, and Author Lane (Sue); step-sons, Jamie and Heath Cox; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Lane family will gather to greet friends and share memoires on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow the Visitation at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Shannon Lane officiating. Committal Service and Interment will be Friday, October 3, 2025, in Jones Cemetery - 576 Kinchloe Mill Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone who wishes to attend the Committal Service is asked to meet at the cemetery on Friday, morning by 10:50 a.m.
