Ronald Edwards

Ronald Edwards, 65, of Jonesborough, passed away on Tuesday evening, September 15, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was born to the late Tommie Lee and Rosa Lee (Teague) Edwards in Bakersville, NC.

Ronald was a member of Community Baptist Church, where he served as Men's Sunday School Teacher, Choir Leader, and Sunday School Director. Ronald worked in construction from the time he was sixteen until his retirement from Custom Systems USA at the age of sixty-two. Ronald was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Buchanan; brother, Tim Edwards; maternal grandparents, George B. and Catherine Teague; and paternal grandparents, Dell and Nola Jane Edwards.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Edwards, son, Matthew Edwards (Ashley), sister, Retta Deane Bingham (Bob); aunt, Margie Synder; uncle, Glen Edwards; best-friend of over sixty years, Floyd Miller; special friends Mike Capps and Jake Bolling; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Edwards family will gather to greet friends and share memories on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Community Baptist Church - 430 Bill Jones Rd. Jonesborough, TN 37659, from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Williams officiating. Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral in the Garden of Heavenly Views in Maple Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Charlie Church offering prayer. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
