Roger McCurry

Roger Wade McCurry, 73, of Jonesborough, passed away on Monday evening, June 2, 2025, at the Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late J.C. and Bonnie Kathleen Broyles McCurry. Roger was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a F&A Mason and a member of the Rhea Masonic Lodge No. 47. Roger enjoyed playing guitar, giving cookies out at Ingles, and most of all the loved spending time with his wife, grandchildren, and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Drema McCurry; son, Steve McCurry (Wendy); step-children, Jerri Johnson, Sherri Smith, Adam Shaffer; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers, Dale McCurry (Ruby), Howard McCurry (Robin); sister, Wilma Blankenship (Kyle), Janice Nelms (Greg); along with several nieces and nephews.

The McCurry family will honor Roger's life with a Celebration of Life Service at a later date.
