Richard Christopher Lunsford, Gray, TN April 6, 1970 - August 21, 2025

Chris Lunsford said goodbye to loved ones and hello to his Father and Savior on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the age of 55. But those of us who say goodbye “do not sorrow as those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

After graduating from Sullivan Central High School in 1988. Chris went to Maryville College in Maryville, TN from 1988 to 1990 and to East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN from 1990 to 1992. He worked as a chemical operator for Primester, a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company and Rhône-Poulenc Chemical Company and later Cerdia Chemical Company, from 1992 until 2022.

Chris is survived by his grandmother, Corinne Parnell, parents Dik and Becky Lunsford and Phil and Diana Parnell, his wife Amy Lunsford and daughters Haddie and Elsie Lunsford, his sister Kim Chandler and her husband Don Chandler, his niece Kaylee Earhart, her husband Tanner Earhart, and their son Jax Earhart, his niece Blakely Chandler, his aunt Marty Yonce, cousin Alex Yonce, cousin Andy Southerland and his wife Megan Southerland, as well as sisters-in-law Jayne McCoy and Anne Sonneberger, their husbands Terry McCoy and Steve Sonneberger and their children and grandchildren.

Chris’ Goodbye Celebration will be on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Crossroads Christian Church at 1300 Suncrest Dr, Gray, TN 37615 with Visitation from 4 PM to 6 PM and Memorial Service from 6 PM to 7 PM. Flowers can be sent to the church at the above address on the day of the service.
