Mr. Reco William ”Jay” Adams JR, age 81, Limestone gained his angels wings on July 26, 2025, with his family by his side. He was a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Burlington Textile. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Mr. Adams was born in Washington County, son of the late Reco and Goldie Adams. In addition to his parents, he was also proceeded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years Nell Adams; son, Robbie Adams; brothers, Billy Adams, Robert Ray Adams, Richard Adams; and his sister, Nancy Sparks.

Survivors include his daughter, Subrina Fitzgerald; grandsons, Tyler Penley and Christopher Adams; siblings, Kenneth Adams (Jan), Dennis Adams (Sharon), Brenda Davis (Mark), Gail Lefemine (Tony), and Ted Adams (Angie); sister-in-law, Genice Adams; along with several nephews, nieces and a special thanks to his right-hand man, Kevin Adams.

The Adams family will honor Reco's life with a Graveside Service on Monday, July 28, 2025, in Providence Cemetery with Rev. Gary Gentry officiating beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tyler Penley, Christopher Adams, Michael Adams, Chris Adams, Vito Lefemine, and Jason Howlett will serve as pallbearers. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside Service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 5:50 p.m.
