Nellie Faye Adams

Nellie Fay Adams, 80, of Limestone, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 30, 2025, at the Johnson City Medical Center after a period of declining health. She was born to the late Charlie and Screlda (Jennings) Showman. Nellie was a member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church. She retired from American Greetings after many years of dedicated service.

In addition to her parents, Nellie was preceded in death by her son, Pernell "Robbie" Adams; brothers Roy, Charles "Bud", Cliff, Bill, and Luke Showman.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Reco Adams; daughter, Subrina Fitzgerald-Adams; grandchildren, Tyler Penley, and Christopher Adams; great-grandson, Iziah; brothers, Sam Showman (Claire), Jerry Showman, and Rick Showman; along with several brother and sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews.

The Adams family will honor Nellie's life with a Graveside Service on Saturday, May 3, 2025, beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Providence Cemetery with Rev. Gary Gentry officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside Service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 p.m.
