Michael Lawrence McCurry, 56 years old, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 13th, 2025 at JCMC. Mike graduated from David Crockett High School where he excelled at auto body classes. He then continued his love of taking wrecked cars and making them like new again by making it his career. He was owner and operator of West Town Collision Center in Jonesborough. That career choice gained Mike a lot of respect and new friends. His work spoke for itself. He made sure every car was perfect before it left his shop.
Even outside of work, if someone needed help, Mike was there to help. Mike was someone you could count on to help to the best of his ability if needed.
Mike loved his family and made sure everybody knew it. He also made sure everybody knew how much he loved his momma and he always had a softness about him concerning his momma.
He loved his entire family but his grandchildren had a special place in his heart. He had more than enough love in his heart for everybody.
To know Mike was an honor and to love Mike was an exceptional blessing, one his family was grateful to have.
Mike was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents, his father Jay and his sister Rachel. Mike is survived by his mother, Marie McCurry, his wife, Hannah McCurry, his son, Hunter McCurry and wife Tasha, grandchildren Kobie and Ember, sister Rebekah Tatham and husband Charles, nieces Hannah and Alexia Tatham, great nephew Kai, step-grandchildren Greyson and Kaylynn.
Mike’s wishes were to be cremated and no funeral services.
