Michael Jennings

Michael Lee "Mike" Jennings, 77, of the Bowmantown community, passed away on Tuesday morning, June 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family after a lengthy illness. He was born to the late Buster and Ruby Jennings. Mike was a member of Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a dedicated life-long farmer.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sisters, Patsy Landers, and Linda June Austin; brothers, Gary and Dean Jennings.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Jennings; children, Michael Lee Jennings II (Leanne), Matthew Jennings (Cynthia), and Levi Jennings (Brittany); grandchildren, Sage Jennings, Devin Jennings, Haley Paul, Tyler Sexton, and Nicholas Jennings; great-grandchildren, Henry Mack Sexton, Daniel Maison Lundy, Charli Grace Sexton, and Joshua Ellis Paul; sisters, Retha Thornburg, and Rachel Ross (Jim); brothers, Stevie and Roger Jennings; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Jennings family will honor Mike's life with a Graveside Service on Thursday, June 11, 2026, in Oakland Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery - 694 Oakland Rd. Telford, TN 37690, beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dale Mitchell officiating. Andy Presley, Sage Jennings, Nicholas Jennings, Jason Presley, Tyler Sexton, and Devin Jennings will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Faine Presley, Jim Ross, Sammy Eastep, Jeff Landers, Gene Ross, and Jeff Broyles. Everyone who wishes to attend the Graveside Service is asked to meet at the cemetery by 1:50 p.m.
