Mava Lee Henley, went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 22, 2026, with her daughters right by her side. She always said “I’ve loved you all my life” and “you’re the loves of my life”.
She will be missed immensely by her daughters, Kayla (Ryan) Ricker and Jessie (Steven) Yokley; grandchildren, Rhett, Ruby, Hosanna, and Ezra; her mother, that has been her rock, Carol Ayers; her very best friend of over 30 years that she loved so much, Tony Henley; her sister, Teri Lynn (Donnie Barnette); and brother, Greg; her special niece, Tara (Anthony and Tiara); all her special aunts, Liz, Mava Sue, Judy; and her special uncle, Choo. She loved them all so much. Mava had so many friends and she never met a stranger. She was such a people person and loved to “kill people with kindness”.
She was predeceased by her father, Alton Terry Miller; step father, Kent Ayers.
Mava loved Jesus and leaned on him so hard these last few months. She was a true disciple for Christ and wanted everyone to know about Him.
Mava worked as a medical transcriptionist. She taught herself and then received her certification.
She had so many hobbies and loved to paint, make jewelry, play guitar, go swimming, fishing, camping, hunting arrowheads and loved spending time with her family. She was the life of the party and loved to make people laugh with inappropriate comments. She had a generous heart and sought personal connection with anyone she met. She loved all of her family so much and told them so often. We will forever cherish her sincere heart and the sweet memories we have with her.
The Henley family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Gerald Rudd officiating.
