Mr. Matthew Nicholas Stout, age 29, of Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Matt was born in Johnson City to Jess Stout and Angela Hensley Hoskins.
Matt was a Lieutenant with the Washington County Sheriff's Department. He loved spending time with his family, playing video games, shooting pool, and singing karaoke.
Survivors including his parents, his wife Haylen Sells Stout, children, Alayna, Harper, and Hudson; brothers and sister, April Pankonie, Aaron Pankonie, Jess Stout, JR, and Haley Stout; grandparents, Harold and Ramona Stout and Della Hensley; special friends, Connor Sedbrook, Christian Churchwell, and Daniel Egbert.
Funeral Service for Matt will be Friday November 21, 2025 8:00 PM at New Hope Brethren Church 352 New Hope Road, Jonesborough, TN. The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 to 8:00 pm prior to the service.
Graveside service will be Saturday November 22, 2025 11:00AM at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jess Stout Sr, Jess Stout Jr., Charles Rupert, Daniel Egbert, Christian Churchwell, and Connor Sedbrook.
