Mary Ann Malone

Mary Ann Dykes Malone, Age 75, of Jonesborough, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her home after a long illness, surrounded by her loving family on July 1, 2026.
Born on June 15, 1951, in Washington County, Ann was the daughter of the late Syrl Eugene Dykes and Mary Kate McCurry Dykes.
In 1997, she graduated from LPN school with her oldest daughter, Melissa. Ann was a bright light in our lives. With a warm heart, infectious smile, and kind spirit, she was beloved by many. She cherished time with family and friends and found joy in simple pleasures like sitting on the porch, watching the birds, sewing, and watching "Bones", NCIS New Orleans, and Criminal Minds.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband Eddie Jr. Malone, one son, Bobby, and two of the triplets in 1981, two brothers, Ricky Lee Dykes, and Alan Eugene Dykes. A sister Barbara Kaye Dykes Miller. Brothers-in-law Ronnie Roberts, Larry Conway, Jerry Miller, and Bobby Walker.

Leaving behind two daughters, Melissa Ann Malone, Rachel Gail Malone Faulkner, Brenda Lee Maupin, and one son, Robert Allen Malone (Amber). Grandchildren: Johnny, Whitney (Gavin), Nathan (Zoey), Sydney, Raegan, Kassidy, Maddie, Riley, Micah, Chloe, Jace, E. Gracie. 3 Great Grandchildren Eleanor, Brynleigh, and Ivy; Sisters Kathy Conway, Wanda Walker, and Tammy Roberts; Brothers Billy Dykes, and Terry Dykes.

Though she lost her battle, she has gained the eternal victory of heaven.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered love, prayers and support through our Ann's illness. A special Thank You to Caris Hospice, especially Carrie, Nick, Tavis & Vanessa for providing care during Ann's declining health.

Funeral services will be Saturday July 4, 2026 3:00PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home 1776 Hwy 11-E Jonesborough with Pastor Johnny Holder officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the services.

Graveside service will be Sunday July 5, 2026 7:00PM at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Jonesborough. Robert Malone, Nathan Faulkner, Joshua Maupin, Johnny Holder, Micah Miller, Caleb Bowman, and Jordan Grindstaff will serve as Pallbearers.
