Marty Osborne

Mr. Marty Osborne, age 67, Telford, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his residence.

Marty was born to the late Carl and Jane Patton Osborne in Johnson City, TN.

Known for his deep, steady voice and easy delivery, Osborne became a familiar presence to thousands of local listeners. Mr. Osborne knew from a young age that radio was what he wanted to do. After graduating from David Crockett Highschool in 1975, he went to the Professional Academy of Broadcasting in Knoxville. He joined Radio Greeneville after a long career that took him through several major Southern radio markets, eventually returning home to Washington County, where he spent the remainder of his broadcasting career at WIKQ in Greenville doing the morning show with his co-host Ray Elliott.

Marty enjoyed his time on the family farm, riding motorcycles, Corvettes and trading cars. He was excited to reopen Osborne Auto Sales which his father Carl use to operate.

Survivors include his wife Patricia Houston Osborne, one daughter, Heather Osborne, one Uncle, Bartley Sparks, two Aunts, Helen Sparks and Jean Hawkins, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service for Marty will be held Friday July 4, 2025 2:00PM at McCarty Cemetery. Everyone is ask to meet at the cemetery.
