Eric, as he preferred to be called, passed away from this Life on September 7, 2026, at the Johnson City Medical Center from the ravages of cancer.
He was a graduate of Happy Valley High School. Eric was employed by Texas Instruments, Siemens, and Ballad Health before moving to Virginia to work for Lintech Global as a Procurement Consultant. He attended Strong Tower Baptist Church.
Eric was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Sue Carter; father, Ronnie Carter; and grandparents, Jean and Betty Duncan.
Eric is survived by his five aunts, Peggy Taylor (Randy), Libby Dugger (Ricky), Sharon Boyd (William "Hoppy"),,, Wilma Bailey (Daryl), and Becky Hilman; cousins, Missy Trent (Richard), Chad Dugger, Josh Hilman (Tiffany), Brnadi Young, and Kim Sparks; long time best friend, Roger Vest; adopted daughter, Brianna.
Eric's final wishes were to be cremated and no formal services be held. His family will hold a private service at a later date.
