Joseph Dickerson

Joseph Allen “Joe” Dickerson, 39, of Chuckey, formerly of the Ducktown Community, passed away on Monday evening, June 10, 2024, at The Waters of Johnson City surrounded by his loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was born to Carol Lamb Malone and the late Jerry Dickerson. Joe spent his life working on his family’s dairy farm.

In addition to his father, Joe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clarence and Lorena (Baker) Dickerson; his uncle Richard Dickerson; and special great uncle, Paul Dickerson

He is survived by his daughters, Katelan Marie Dickerson, and Taylor MacKenzie Farmer; his girlfriend, Dawn Farmer; sister, Crystal Harris (Wayne); brother, Chris Dickerson (Brittany); aunt, Judy Palmer (Steve); uncles, Norman Dickerson, Donnie Dickerson (Jill); special cousin, Matthew Dickerson (Mary Catherine); niece, Courtney Eastep (Robbie); nephew, Dalton Harris; and great-niece, Ansley Eastep.


The Dickerson family will receive friends on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow the Visitation at 3:30 p.m. in Cherry Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Richard Tittle officiating. Wayne Harris, Dalton Harris, Chris Dickerson, Matt Dickerson, Steve Dickerson, and Austin Willett will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Rector , Lee Odom, and Steve Palmer.

Joes’ family would like to extend a special thank you to Steve and Connie Dickerson for their help and care for him.
