John W Castor

Mr. John W. Castor, age 78, Limestone, passed away Friday, December 8,
2023 at Graystone Health Care Center, Blountville.
John was a native of Mansfield Ohio and the son of the late Lewis and Mabel
Jones Castor. He was also preceded in death by his wife Patsy Mitchell
Castor, son Donny Castor, and father-in-law McKinley Mitchell.

John was a Christian and attended Limestone Free Will Baptist Church. He
retired from Greene Valley Development Center in Greeneville. John was also
a former member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department First
Responder unit.

Survivors include sister Mary Jones (David); children Johnny Castor, Pamela
Thompson (Ronald), and Tina Lowe; grandchildren Clark Thompson, Jessica
Rigsby (Danny), Jonathan Castor (Bridget), Shannon Thompson (Alicia),
Matthew Castor, and Hannah Clemmons; great-grandchildren, Leo and
Melody, Jaythan Castor, Alyssa Rigsby, Adaya and Ason Thompson;
mother-in-law Arlene Mitchell, brothers-in-law Dale Mitchell (Lana), Dwight
Mitchell (Debbie), Danny Mitchell (Belinda), sisters-in-law Peggy Dickerson
(Roger), Pam Keeton (Doug), Paulette Potter (Dan), and several nieces and
nephews.

Funeral Services for John will be Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 7:00 PM at
Limestone Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Dexter Brummett and Rev. Tim
Broyles officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to
7:00PM prior to the service. Graveside Service will be Friday, December 15,
2023, 11:00 AM at Urbana Cemetery, Limestone. Pallbearers will be family
and friends.
