Mr. Jerry Thomas Guess, age 85, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at Agape Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Johnson City, TN.

Jerry was a native of Elizabethton Tn and the son of the late Ernest and Gladys Fair Guess. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Carl Guess, and two sisters, Lena Crossno and Betty Taylor.

Jerry was a member of McKinley Bible Church. He was a commercial roofer and worked for Johnson Hillard. Jerry was a member of the National Guard in the 70's. He loved the beach, taking long walks, eating out, and UT Sports.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Parlier Guess, sons, Jeff Guess (Linda), Gary Guess, and Tommy Guess, daughter, Robin Simpson (Chuck) grandchildren, Cody Guess, Dorian Guess, Jessica Hall, and Diana Schofer; great grandchildren, Lily Hall, Emma Hall, Kennedy Schofer, Nash Guess, Keegan Densmore, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for Jerry will be Saturday August 8, 2026, 4:00PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home 1776 Hwy 11-E Jonesborough, TN with Pastor Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 3:00 to 4:00 prior to the service.
