Janet G. Buckland, age 63, passed away after a brief illness at the Johnson City Medical Center on Tuesday, April 28, 2025. Janet was the daughter of the late Willard and Arbutus Price Garland.
Janet was born in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She worked at Superior Metals in Johnson City, making aluminum wheels. She enjoyed going to the Moose Lodge in Erwin.
Survivors include her husband, John J. Buckland; sons: Scotty Garland, and John J. Buckland, Jr., (April); daughter: Michelle Johnson; and grandson, William Garland, and sister Barbara Heaton.
Graveside service will be Monday, May 4, 2026, 2:00 PM at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. Those wishing to go in precession are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:30.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
