James Q Tyree

James Quint Tyree Jr. passed away Saturday January 6, 2024 at the age of 79 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Jim was a 50 year member of the Limestone Volunteer Fire Dept. Where he served as safety officer. He was a 50 year member of Arcana Masonic Lodge # 489 F & AM. Also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star #262. Jim also served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting and collecting arrowheads.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Elva Tyree, Two sons James "Jamie" Tyree III (Angela Yvette), John William Thomas "Teedley" Tyree (Sabrina); Three Grandchildren which were his pride and joy Kyra Tyree, Adalee Tyree, and Elly Tyree; Beloved Sister-in-law Joyce Kelley of Atlanta GA; Nephew Mike Kelley; Great Nieces & Nephew Nevaeh, Michaila, and Michael all of Converse TX; and several other nieces and nephews.

Tyree family will receive family and friends Tuesday January 9, 2024 from 4 - 8 PM at Arcana Masonic Lodge #489 located at 200 Keebler Ln, Limestone, TN 37681, Masonic Rites will be held at 8 PM.

Graveside services will be Wednesday 2pm at Urbana Cemetery with Chaplain Steven Hartley officiating. The Limestone Volunteer Fire Dept. Honor Guard will be acting as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Limestone Volunteer Fire Dept, or Arcana Masonic Lodge #489.
