James Reed

James Christopher "Chris" Reed, 46, of Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July, 24, 2024 at his home. He was born to Ricky and Kathy (Isenberg) Reed.

Chris was a loving father, grandfather, son, grandson, and friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars, arrow head hunting, and could build anything with his hands. Chris was a member of Bethesda Community Church.

Chris was preceded in death by his brother, David Reed; maternal grandfather, Clinton Isenberg; paternal grandparents, Bill and Bea Reed; and his cousin and best friend, Joseph Dickerson.

In addition to his parents, Chris is survived by his children, Jordan Reed, Mary Reed, Clinton Reed, and Cole Reed; maternal grandmother, Arliss Isenberg; his grandchildren, Alyssa Reed, Nevaeh Reed, Trayson Reed, Kayson Reed, and Wren Reed.

The Reed family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. A Graveside Service will follow the Visitation in Bethesda Community Cemetery at 4:30 p.m. with Rev. Brian Brown officiating. Jordan Reed, Clinton Reed, Cole Reed, Brian Foster, Eric Rupert, and Brian Guinn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Teddy Henley Chris Rice, and Brandon Daly.
