Harvey H Canter

Mr. Harvey H. Canter, age 77, of Jonesborough, passed away Thursday April 9, 2026 with his family by his side.

Harvey was born in Carter County, Tennessee to the late Melvin H. and Ellen Marie Wilson Canter. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Canter, and son, Tony Canter.

Harvey was the owner of Canter's Painting, he enjoyed and took pride in his work. He loved NASCAR, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Pleasant Beach Baptist Church; he loved his church and his church family.

Survivors include two sons, Westley Canter and wife Julie, and Phillip Canter; grandchildren, Manuella Wallin (Jeremy), Harvey Canter (Holly), Westley Canter Jr, Deborah Canter, Mercedes Sedam, and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Harvey will be Sunday April 12, 2026 6:00 PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Fowler officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 to 6:00PM prior to the service.

Graveside service will be Monday April 13, 2026 6:00PM at Maple Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harvey Canter, Perry Canter, Westley Canter Jr, Nick Maddox, Noah Sedam, Justus Wallin, Zack Wallin, and Jeremy Wallin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Hopson, and Scott Pearson.
