Mrs. Greta Ann Hazelwood, age 70, of Jonesborough, passed away on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Holston Valley Medical Center.
Greta was born in Greeneville, Tennessee, to the late Crawford and Nell Phillips Foster. Greta was also preceded in death by one son, Matthew Hazelwood, and one daughter, Libby Taylor.
Greta enjoyed her work in managing the housekeeping department at the Garden Plaza Hotel in Johnson City for many years.
Greta loved the Lord. She was looking forward to seeing Him. It was her wish that all her family and friends accept the Lord as their Savior so she could see them again.
Survivors include her husband, Charlie Hazelwood; son, Jason Ramsey (Michelle Bell), one daughter, Angela White (Wayne), grandchildren, Elijah Shane White, Mckenzie Taylor, Jordan Taylor, Johnny Taylor, and Alyssa Taylor; sisters Verna Adams, Kim Jones, Robin Tuggle and one brother, John Foster; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Greta will be Friday, July 10, 2026, at Jonesborough Funeral Home, 1776 US 11-E, Jonesborough, TN 37659, with Pastor Will Ramsey and Pastor John H. Moore officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM prior to the service. Graveside service will be Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Alexander Lacey Family Cemetery, Carter County, TN. Pallbearers will be friends and family.
