Gladys R Inscore

Gladys Inscore, 63, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, February 12, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born to the late Hobert Ray and Mattie Ellen (Gregg) Whitaker.

Gladys was a member of the Baptist faith. She was a CNA until her health no longer permitted. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to knew her. She had a special place in her heart for her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Inscore; daughter, Angela Michelle Horner; sister, Norma Jean Carroll; and brother, Donald Whitaker.

She is survived by her daughters, Chrystal McCurry; Jessica Dean; grandchildren, Chelsea, Keith, Maria, Jessie, and Audrey; three great-grandchildren, sister, Martha Dykes and husband Clint Penley; brother, Ronnie Whitaker; along with several nieces and nephews.

The Inscore family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Conkin and Rev. Charlie Frazier officiating. Graveside Service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery beginning at 11 a.m. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
