Gary Lynn Simms

Mr. Gary Lynn Simms, age 52, Jonesborough, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 14th, 2024.

Mr. Simms was born in Johnson City and was the son of the late Jim and Betty Simms. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Susie Williams.

Mr. Simms was an electrician at MMR/Eastman Chemical Company and a great guitarist. He attended Crossroads Cowboy Church.

Survivors include his wife Wendy, daughter Amber Nicole Draper (Nathan), daughter Savannah Nicole Brewster (Tyler) and son Christoper Lynn Simms (Emily); brother Charles Simms, brother Michael Simms (Rhonda), sister Angela See (Brit) and sister Lori Campbell (Ryan); five Grandchildren, Melody, Surah, Zaiden, Elli, Ava and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

The Simms family will receive friends on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Jonesborough Funeral Home from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. Committal Service and Interment will follow the Funeral at Fairview Cemetery. Christopher Simms, Brit See, Ryan Campbell, Nathan Draper, Tyler Brewster and Zach Simms will serve as pallbearers.
