Mrs. Elloree "Ellie" H. Chestnut, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at NHC Healthcare Johnson City, TN.
Ellie was born in Washington County Tn to the late George Newton "GN" and Parlee Adams Harrison. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, a set of twin siblings, and the love of her life, Harold Meece.
Miss Ellie loved to cook and take meals to many people. She was very caring and had a big heart. She loved kids and. Before she became disabled, she worked at Kingsport Press.
The family would like to give a special "Thank You" to NHC Healthcare Station One for their wonderful, loving care of Miss Ellie.
Graveside service will be Thursday June 18, 2026 2:00 PM at Gray Cemetery with Pastor Darin Harrison officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to pay their respect may do so from 10:00 to 12:00 PM prior to the graveside at Jonesborough Funeral Home, 1776 Hwy 11-E Jonesborough, TN 37659.
