Donald Davis

Donald Davis, 79, of Johnson City, passed away on Sunday evening, September 20, 2026, at his home after a period of declining health. He was born to the late Frank and Mildred (Baird) Davis. Donald proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam War and retired after thirty-two years of service. He also worked for the Washington County Sheriffs Office.

In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Davis; brother, Tony Davis; granddaughter, Hayley; grandson, Eric, and son-in-law, Bruce Morrison.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Scott Davis; children, Machelle Elliott (Robert), Mary Phillips (Shawn), Donald Davis Jr. (Marcie); grandchildren, Jake Morrison, Emily Elliott, Rob Elliott (Megan), Craig Davis (Amy Wilkerson), Cheyenne Davis, Hunter Davis (Clio Rodriquez), Avery Campbell (Zachary), Ashley Edwards (Josh), Kayla Davis (Destiny Corrales), Zachary Davis (Catherin); six great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie Breeden (Cal); brother, George Davis (Jan); along with several nieces and nephews.

The Davis family will honor Donald's life with a private Graveside Service in Davis Family Cemetery in Foscoe, NC.
