David H. Nidiffer

Mr. David H. Nidiffer, age 75, of Limestone, went home to be with his Lord, on Sunday February, 1, 2026, at Franklin Woods Community Hospital, Johnson City.

David was born in Unicoi County, Tennessee to the late John and Lela Mathes Nidiffer. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Earl Nidiffer, and Rex Nidiffer, sisters, Barbara Clark, Wilma Garland, and Loretta Bailey.

David was a man of strength, dedicated to his faith, and devoted to his family.

He attended Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church of Johnson City, TN. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Roan Mountain Lodge #566 F&AM. He was also a Shriner of the Jericho Temple.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know him. He was a man of generosity, principle, integrity, and deep loyalty to his family. A steady hand in both family and friends.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Katherine Woodby Nidiffer; David was the pround father of three children, Connie Rose (Alan), Cindy Gobble (Bo), and John Nidiffer, grandchildren, David Rose, Brooke Rose, Taylor Buchanan (Malachi), Kaylee Nidiffer, and Makenna Nidiffer; great grandchildren, Mia West, Korbyn West, and Kayden West. Special friends, Dexter and Phyllis Brummitt, Ted and Elanie Lewis, Paul and Debbie Vance, and Gary and Thelma Milhorn.

Funeral service for David will be Thursday February 5, 2026 1:00 PM at Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 100 E Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601, with Ted Lewis amd Dexter Brummitt officiating. Singing will be provided by Dexter and Phyllis Brummitt. The Family will receive family and friends from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 prior to the service.

Graveside will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Erwin, Tennessee. Pallbearers will be Justin Guy, Justin Burrell, David Rose, Willie Vance, Malachi West, and Mike Harrald.
