Charlene McGuire, age 74 of Jonesborough, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was born in Jenkins, KY, to the late Morgan and Ada Grimes Elkins. She was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She was a born-again Christian, her family was very important to her, and she loved them greatly. She also enjoyed vacationing on Hilton Head Island with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Terry McGuire, two sons: Jereme (Jessica) McGuire and Todd (Rachel) McGuire. grandchildren: Ansley, Addison, Ema, Ella, Evie, Camden, Cayden, Colton, Karsten, and Selah. Brother: Ernie Elkins, Sisters: LaVone Reed and Jackie Bates.
Funeral service for Charlene will be Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Trinity Baptist Church, 260 Headtown Road Jonesborough, with Rev. Frank Holbrook and Dr. Mark Harrod officiating. Graveside services will be Sunday April 5, 2026, 2:00 PM in Arvil A Mullis Cemetery in Pound Virginia. Pall Bearers will be Jereme McGuire, Todd McGuire, Josh Potter, Justin Potter, and Michael Bates.
