Mrs. Barbara Ann Cline Williams, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026, in Currituck, NC at the home of her daughter and caregiver, Dava Jerrie Garretson.

Barbara was the daughter of the late Virgil Cline and Willie Cline Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her son Timothy Williams.

Barbara grew up in Fall Branch, then moved to downtown Jonesborough. She was saved at the age of 14 at her Daddy's bedside. As an adult, she was a mother of nine children and a CNA for almost 14 years. She loved taking care of people. She was a 1961 graduate of jonesboro High School.

Those left to cherish her memories, her greatest gifts, Deborah Keesecker (Alan) Dawn Cashion (Jeffrey) Phillip Shipley Jr (Bobbie), Michael Shipley (Amy), Dava Jerrie Garretson (Philip), Jennifer Silvers (Kenneth), Christopher Williams (Jen), Joshua Williams (Jenny), seven stepchildren, twenty wonderful grandchildren, and six and a half beautiful great grandchildren; her loving and devoted sister, Diane Cline Wilson (Don) and many nieces and nephews she loved deeply.

Funeral service for Barbara will be Tuesday November 3, 2026 2:00PM at Jonesborough Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Brown officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Graveside will follow at Logans Chapel Cemetery.
