Angelo Racanelli, age 44, passed away on July 15, 2025, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Born on September 7, 1980, in Chicago, Illinois, Angelo made his home in Johnson City
where he graduated from Science Hill High School and built a life surrounded by family
and the natural beauty he cherished.
Angelo was known for his good heart and the deep love he held for his mother, children
and family. His warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He found joy in simple pleasures-especially fishing, spending time outdoors, loved
working on building crafts out of wood, and working on stonework with building homes.
Whether casting a line into a quiet stream or enjoying the fresh air of East Tennessee,
Angelo felt most at peace in nature.
He is survived by his devoted mother, Nancy Racanelli; his beloved children: Dylan
Racanelli (Mariah), Keith Racanelli, Nancy Racanelli, and Betty Racanelli and his
cherished grandchildren: Ka'lylah Racanelli, Grayson Racanelli, Arlo Racanelli, Ade
Mims, and Koa Mims and his children’s mom Eva Lance. Angelo also leaves behind his
siblings: Robert Racanelli; Tim (Michele) Jordan; Darrell Adkins; and Michelle (Dave)
Adkins-Burba. His extended family includes uncles and aunts: Raymond J. Delgado,
Theresa A. Davila, Uhamma Delgado, Eullas M. Goodwin, Mary E. Long, Johnny R.
Lopez, June G. Lopez, Neveda S. Goodwin, Candy Jaramillo, Angel Dubois; along with
many cousins, nieces, nephews and his best friends Joe Thompson, Walt Hart, Phillip
Burnet, who will remember him fondly.
Angelo was preceded in death by several loved ones who now welcome him with open
arms: his grandmother Bertha M. Lopez; grandfather Raymond John Sr; father Ewell
Adkins; brother Keith Adkins; step-mother Rebecca Adkins; uncles Albert Racanelli,
Tony Racanelli, Charlie Racanelli, Joseph Racanelli, Poncho Delgado; aunts Thelma
Sue Tester, Flor Delgado; Great Uncle Johnny Hale and Bob Hale; cousins Ruthie
Shatora Delgado, Raymond Delgado III, Joshua Delgado, Charlie Romero, Matthew
Lynn Hale, Jessalynn Delgado, Sophia Flora Fields, Brianna Tester; niece Meagan
Nelson.
The outpouring of love and support during this time has been deeply appreciated by
Angelo's family. His memory will live on through the stories shared around campfires,
the laughter of his grandchildren playing outdoors, and the enduring bonds of family that
he held so dear.
May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
